Found a kindred spirit today, someone who likes bourbon and sevens, red wine. Why were we talking about drinking at the end of the day??? Came home and had a C2 instead.
It's been another one of those years, already. New Job, new home, just like '04. Or was it '05? Hard to remember, the years are sticking together.
Had any good news lately? Did someone smile at you today? Was a clerk helpful? Did someone acknowledge you? Was another driver courteous? Did you hear a child laugh? See a bird fly? Did you meet someone or talk to someone in the course of your day that might have been a friend if you could stop long enough to discover who they are.
What made you sad today? Did a tragedy touch you? Did you remember a friend you longed to talk to? Did you see a picture of someone you wish you could see in person?
Tomorrow, do this. Hug your neighbor, smile at the convenience store clerk, wave at strangers, ask someone from a far away place about their homeland, worship the ground YOU walk on.
